I just spent 10 minutes puzzling over my time zone calculations before I realised the 'S' in PST is for Standard, not Summer.

I think from now on I'm going to give all my times in UTC.

From their FB feed, Arena announced that the BWE3 characters haven't been wiped yet, so we'll have them still.

I was on Crystal Desert that weekend. I might try guesting onto tarnished coast if that function is up, but I'll have to see how my gem count is if only full transfers are allowed. I already bought (and spent) way too many on BW3!

I still can't figure out why they do a stress test during my exact work hours, rather than on a weekend when they can have gamers from everywhere playing. See? I'm thinking of the world, where's my prize for altruism?

I would guess from the minimum possible notice they gave, and the caveat that the game experience could be horrible, I'm guessing that they need to test some new network solution and the network team can't continue working without testing if it works or not.

No chance of faking a sickie? Flooded basement? Obscure rite of passage ceremony for a foreign friend?

No chance of a sick day, no. I have to take what I can get during the summers. Anyway, they did not allow us in an hour early, so here I am going to work. I order you all to have fun. Here me? That's an order!
