The White Oak symbolizes strength and longevity in the face of adversity, and represents the Duchy's commitment to the long road to rebuilding civilization, and its refusal to fall under the stress of harsh trials.

The Blue Sun is a symbol of nobility, growth, and civilization. WIthout the sun there is no growth, and without dignity, honour, and the drive to work as one and help each other there is no true civilization.

The Blue Chevrons symbolize water, life, and steadfastness, which flow to the tree and make it grow. The waters of the Duchy are its people. Its people are what give the Duchy its strength. Without them, the sun cannot give life. The tree of strength and civilization will wither and die. It is the people for whom the Duchy exists, and the people are for the Duchy.

This crest was chosen as a representation of the ideals and aspirations of the Duchy and its people, and represents the commitment to unity and support inherent to everything the Duchy stands for.
