| Hello, and thank you for taking the time to visit us. If you're reading this, then you probably have some inclination that we might be a good home for you in Guild Wars 2 and want to make that inclination a reality. It's our goal to recruit quality players who have a strong love of RP, and our application process reflects this. Just follow these steps to get involved: 1) Read The Rules: Take the time to read over our rules and guidelines, to make sure we're a good fit for you. Read the rules here.2) Fill Out An Application: Fill out the membership application questions in the post below this one. We suggest doing it in a word processor program and copy/pasting it back in, just so you don't lose it. Post those answers in this thread. You can apply as a guest, or you will be prompted to complete this step in a welcome PM under your actual account. 3) Create a Forum Account: If you're approved, you'll need this to access the members-only area of our forums. Make sure there's a clear connection between your application and your forum name. (You can change your forum handle later!) It should take less than 24 hours to be approved, but if it's been a few days, post a query! 4) Roleplay: We'll do an RP meet and greet to get an idea of how well you communicate with others in live situations. Know that we don't intend to be grammar or spelling police, but it's important that people can adequately express themselves through text in an RP situation. We've all had to sit through RP with people who couldn't string a sentence together, even if they were asked to copy it from a page in front of them, so just demonstrate your ability to RP on the fly, and that you have a good understanding of English. To make it simple, just think of these points: Pros:- Proper spelling and grammar (for the most part) - Coherent trains of thought, and able to follow the RP. - Stays in character. Cons:- Net slang or abbreviations in RP - Smilies in RP - Difficult to understand, due to poor grammar, spelling, or typing skills. 1) Fill Out Your IC Biography: Fill out the character biography template for your main, located in this thread. 2) Say 'Hello': Getting to know your guildmates, and letting them get to know you, is important! This optional step is located in this thread.3) Get Involved: Once your bio is posted, you're free to get involved in our forum RP thread.

This might be a chance encounter in the wild, where members of the Duchy teamed up with/saved/were saved by your character, or a swapping of stories over ale.
